Instruction on how to use DJMAX RESPECT mode

To make DJMAX RESPECT mode work, special converter is necessary
To use DJMAX RESPECT mode, the latest firmware is necessary


Connection about the converter


After you connect the controller according to the following steps, you can make DJMAX RESPECT mode work normally.

  1. Connect the PlayStation 2 connector of the controller to the PlayStation 2 connector of converter
  2. Connect PlayStation 4 gamepad to any USB connector in the both side of the convertor with a USB cable
  3. Connect the USB of the converter to PlayStation 4 body
  4. Connect the red USB connector of the controller to PlayStation 4 body

Buy converter now


Converter doesn’t support PS4 PRO game body for the time being.


Start game


The blue pilot light of the converter should turn green, and keep shining after flashing about 30 seconds, then you can play game


Mode switch

Press start+select+5, simultaneously about a second, PS2 IIDX mode and DJMAX RESPECT mode of the controller can be switched repeatedly

INFINITAS mode confirmation


 2 axis 16 button joystick is shown in Game Controllers, and the corresponding numeric key will light up when 1-7 BUTTON of the controller are pressed.

INFINITAS mode When the turntable is rotated in a single direction, the response of the Axes area in Game Controllers is shown as following video, which is opposite to the moving direction in HID-light mode.

 Mouse will not move in the yellow area when the turntable is rotated.


Lunatic Rave 2 mode confirmation


 2 axis 16 button joystick is shown in Game Controllers, and the corresponding numeric key will light up when 1-7 BUTTON of the controlelr are pressed.

LR2 mode When rotateing the turntable back and forth, the response of Axes area in Game Controllers is shown as following video.

INFINITAS Double 2P


In INFINITAS mode，Hold start+select+3 button at the same time for a second, then turntable LED light will flash to tell you INFINITAS mode works.
The function of E3 and E4 can be achieved by setting up the second controller to INFINITAS Double 2P mode.

Multifunction of select BUTTON


In INFINITAS or HID-light mode, Hold start+select+7 button at the same time for a second, turntable LED light will flash to tell you it works. You can open the multifunction of select BUTTON now.


In INFINITAS mode

Single click =E2
Double click =E3
Triple click =E2+E3

In HID-light mode

Single click =10
Double click =11
Triple click =10+11

** Please complete double click or triple click in 0.3 seconds, or the function cannot work.

Guide on how to burn the new firmware

It supports the controllers purchased since the end of 2014


Step 1


Hold start+select+3 BUTTON at the same time without releasing, then connect the 2 USB connectors of the controller to the PC;
Unzip the compressed file of firmware, start the firmware burning program:  Upgrade tool（DAO).exe



Step 2


Choose 034C&pid in the drop-down menu of Device

After you choose 034C&pid, the red dot will turn green, the content corresponds to VID will show 034C, and the content corresponds to State will show Device connect


Step 3


Click open... button to find the firmware program file you want to burn.

Click Download button to start burning, it will cost about 100 seconds

After the burning, please unplug and re-plug the 2  USB  connectors of the controller

If it is Real Edition Double please burn the firmware separately

Firmware upgrade guide

Common question

When going to upgrade the firmware, please avoid the programs in the system accessing your controller. Please close the following programs

1. JoyToKey-etc...;

2. bemanixxxxs;

3. Game controller property page in Windows system;

4. Any program that can access the controller

1. Only keep the following 2 USB devices: keyboard and mouse connected to the PC;

2. Hold start+select+NO.3 BUTTON at the same time without releasing, then connect the 2 USB connectors of the controller to the PC;

3. Re-start the burning software;

4. If vid_034c device still can’t be found, please try again;

5. If it can’t be found by all means, please try burning firmware on a different PC.

Attention: Haven’t tested the other systems or languages.

It supports the controllers purchased since the end of 2014.

The PCB supporting burning new firmware is shown as right image.

If burning is failed, and the situation is the same as what is shown in right image,
please refer to the following method to re-burn the firmware

1. Close the burning software, and unplug the 2 USB connectors of the controller from the PC;

2. Hold Start+Select+NO.3 button of the controller at the same time without releasing;

3. Re-plug the 2 USB connectors of the controller to PC. And you can release the buttons when the turntable LED light lights up;

4. Start burning software, and choose the firmware you want to re-burn.

SS001 doesn't use mouse to judge the situation of the turntable, and instead of the mouse debugging, turntable function is used the X of Joystick. It is normal that mouse doesn't move in Windows desk, and only in Game Controllers, it will move after the turntable is rotated.

No problem with binding game keys, but will not support HID-light light and the setup of Lane Cover, the turntable direction is opposite to the one in INFINITAS mode.

Doesn't support playing games with Playstation 3 emulator

Please check that if both USB connectors of the controller are all connected to the PC.

Please don't do like this, and please switch to correct mode before gameplay, then launching the game.

Please make sure that the“垂直同期(プレイ中ちらつくなら変えてみてください)”in SYSTEM is not checked.

LR2のプレーを始める前の設定について

Controller only supports the mode of DJMAX RESPECT 4/5/6 key, and it doesn’t support the mode of 8 key.

After you switch to DJMAX RESPECT mode successfully, PlayStation 4 gamepad will not work temporarily. But when you unplug the connector for converter, and press PlayStation 4 key, it will be switched to PlayStation 4 gamepad

The converter is not a perfect solution, sometimes it can stop working, but you can solve the problem via re-plugging it.

Concerning the USB cable for connecting converter to PlayStation 4, we advise that you had better use the original one, since if it is not the original one, some unexpected problems can be caused.

We only test a kind of PS2 TO PS4 converter for the time being, and we can’t check that if other converters will also support our firmware. So we advise using our PS2 TO PS4 converter.
